Lesley helps international professionals feel more confident using English in work and everyday life in Scotland.

Before moving into language teaching, she spent 17 years in international business, including Scotland's whisky industry. GoGabber brings those worlds together: real English, real Scottish culture and real opportunities to connect with people.

Is it really free?

Yes. The evening is free to attend. Places are limited, so reserving ahead secures your spot.

Can I come on my own?

Absolutely. Most people come solo. That's exactly the point of the evening.

What if I don't drink whisky, or don't drink at all?

Completely fine. The tasting is optional, and non-alcoholic options are available. Come for the conversation and culture.

Do I need to know anything about whisky first?

None at all. The tasting is guided from the very beginning, and half the fun is not knowing yet.

Will my English be good enough?

Yes. This is a relaxed, low pressure evening, not a class. Everyone here is figuring out real life Scottish conversation together.
